A lovely evening greeted riders in the opening round of the 2022 season of The Decathlon Evening 10 Series by Wrekinsport as Jonathan Mills-Keeling took a fine win on the Shawbirch - Cotwall Bank circuit. The Bridgnorth CC rider raced home with a 29 second advantage over the chasing pack after stopping the watch on 21 minutes 28 seconds. Mills-Keeling saw off a challenge from Tomos Hales, taking the maximum six points on offer as he opens his defence of the Evening 10 Series with a fine 21:57. Third spot was keenly contested by the promoting club’s riders as Phil Roberts beat off the attentions of Adam Mumford by 15 seconds with 23:31   

In the Road Bike Series Henri Bedford took the victory in 24:02 in his first appearance as a Senior. This was good enough to tie for 5^th spot overall as the Revolutions Racing rider saw off Wrekinsport CC Chairman Dave Moore, just beating 26 minutes by a single second an taking the lead in this Series despite riding a mountain bike.

There were good performances amongst the Juniors with Ben Southgate posting an excellent 24:32 for 7^th and Cerys Greaves also a Junior taking the Women's win in 26:13.
